Manchester City player salariesManchester City spend big in 2015 summer transfer window and brought in the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Nicolas Otamendi, Fabien Delph and Patrick Robers in high profile transfers. Their wagebill was second highest behind Manchester United but with the summer spending spree combined with new contracts offered to the likes of
Aguero, David Silva, Kompany and Hart in the last 6 months, we can safely assume their wage bill will be most expensive not only in premier league but in european football.
Manchester City New Transfers: here are some of the numbers on how Man City spent more than £150million in summer transfer window.
  1. Kevin De Bruyne (£54.5m)
  2. Raheem Sterling (£49m)
  3. Nicolas Otamendi (£32.0m)
  4. Fabian Delph (£8.0m)
  5. Patrick Roberts (£12.0m)
City also let go around £44.0 million worth of talent including Eden Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo etc.

New bonus based contracts:

After winning the Premier League in 2014, Manchester City decided to offer some of their main players new contracts which include the likes of Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Vincent Kompany, and Joe Hart. All the players accepted the reduced basic salary but high performance based bonuses and incentives. FIFA financial fair play rule has forced City to kind of change their spending and that is visible in the recently leaked salary details of full team squad.
The following numbers only include the basic weekly salaries of the players but main players in the team enjoy lucrative performance based bonuses for example Aguero signed a new 5 year deal in 2014 with the basic salary of £165,000 a week but it can reach upto £220,000 a week with performance bonuses included. Joe Harts new City deal earn hime £110,000 a week but it can reach £150,000 a week with various bonuses.
