CAF withdraws African Cup of Nations 2019 from Cameroon

The African Football Confederation (CAF) has decided to withdraw the 2019 African Nations Cup from Cameroon because of its lack of response to the campaign book.
The report of the Technical Committee of the African Union, on Cameroon's preparations for the tournament, was very negative, saying that Cameroon is not ready to host the continental finals.

The African Union (AU) has opened a new bid for a candidate host country for the first summer edition with 24 teams.
The media regularly reported that Morocco, which lost the bid to host the 2026 World Cup against the US tripartite United States, Mexico and Canada, is the potential alternative to Cameroon in order to provide enormous infrastructure and security stability.
